Garden Design Services
A well designed garden is achieved through a collaboration between Garden Designer and Client. Good communication at each stage of the design process ensures that the final design and planting scheme is on brief and achievable. Taking the plans and constructing the garden is also a process that requires the skills of both the designer and the landscape contractor to realise the vision and transform ideas on paper into a real life garden.
The Initial Meeting
Following your enquiry, the first meeting enables us to look at the site and determine the scope of the project. We can discuss what services are required and the discussions are the basis of the Client Brief.
The Brief
This is the first stage of the design process and is critical to the success of the final design. The design process is a journey and as such the brief may evolve as site conditions, practicality and affordability shape the concept. You are guided through this process so that the final design is all you imagined and more.
Site Survey
A full site survey and analysis ensures that all the specific garden details have been recorded and considered before the design process starts. The survey will either be carried out by the team or on larger or more complicated site by a land surveyor.
Initial Concept
3D digital images really bring a design to life and help my clients visualise the design concept along with a scaled Presentation Plan. Once the concept is approved, the final plans can produced ready for the contractor.
Detailed Plans
Plans required by a contractor include a detailed Setting Out Plan, Construction Detail drawings, Lighting Plan and Planting Plans. Tender documentation is prepared in order to brief the landscape contractor on approval of the detailed plans.
Project Monitoring
When working with either our preferred landscape contractor or a contractor belonging to either the APL or BALI, we offer a project monitoring service, working with the contractor to ensure the smooth running of the build.
