Large Town Garden

Tadley, Hampshire

In this large town family garden design, a spacious terrace area provides my clients with a light, open dining space to entertain the family. The circular lawn is the ideal place for their grandchildren to play whereas the bottom of the site was designed to create a secluded woodland garden where they can sit and read.

The planting includes a number of low maintenance shrubs to provide structure and form the ‘bones’ of the garden.  A mix of shrubs and colourful perennials frame the terrace. The warm natural tones of the oak sleepers and sandstone paving softens the feel of the north-facing garden. What could be a dark cold space instead, is light and airy.
